Baby steps
I started to make plugins around 2006 with my friend Matt Jackson.
The project we worked on was a drum machine named tatapoum:

Into the rabbit hole
I then really got deep into DSP. Using schematics and spice modeling to firgure out the architecture I tried to push the realism within the limitation of the buffer based environement that was Synthedit. It was not a commecrical success but got me some forum reconition and granted me a review in Sound on Sound.

Genesis
It is clear that it was already at that time that I started defining a style that woudl mix reaslistic renderings with flat controls. I was coming from fine arts and print media culture and was heavily inspired by album covers from Blue Note Recrods or ECM. I felt that plugin UIs could borrow from that inspiration and stop looking like fake hardware interfaces.

The knack
All these years I have kept tinkering mostly on physical modelling and sometimes post videos on my youtube channel when I make progress.
