3 Bands

For Rumble I wanted the give the 3 bands split aspect the spotlight as it is a key element of the product that differentiates it from the competition.

rows, columns

After iterating the decision was made to present the sound process as a single horizontal strip.

One band workflow allows to keep layout stability when navigating between bands.

The result is a clean layout of primary horizontal secions with secondary vertical sub section.

  • It is intuitive, straighfroward to understand.
  • It avoids unstable T or L shaped nesting which add complexity and can be confusing.

Guiding through shading

3D shading as hardware metaphor is strictly used for visual presence and to guide user in which controls to play with first.

Everythign else is flat.

Color plays a key aspect and is used to :

  • emphasize sections
  • communicate what belongs to a band vs what is general (white)
  • on the widget level shows interactive elemnts, variable values.

All work displayed is copyright of their respective owners. Portfolio pieces are presented for the sole purpose of demonstrating my individual contribution and design process.
