First love

I have been personally attached to electric pianos for many years and worked on my own emulations .

When Uli Baranowsky came up with this project I wanted to bring back years of personal reflection on the topic into the UI.

As I did on my own mokafix EPs, I took inspiration in Blue Note records as well as on old advertisements by Fender and Rhodes in the 60s and 70s.

I wanted both instruments to look like the best version of themselves and get the vibe in the shots of the era they came from.

Diamond has a more polite and calm presentation. The shot is from a distance with a compressed perspective.
Dave Brubeck band’s TV recordings come to mind with that very clean and impeccable presentation.

I wanted Phoenix to be the wild child from the 70s, with a more in your face angle with a closer camera and a more organic color scheme.
